For more than 3 years, Refresh OKC has played a major role in educating and connecting web designers in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. Some of the most passionate and talented professionals in the industry share their knowledge and help others on a monthly basis. The growth of Refresh OKC is the result of the support from many of you. All of you have truly made this group into the great organization it is today. With a solid foundation and growing member base, Refresh OKC is planning for even bigger and better things in 2010.
During the next few weeks, we will be creating a board of officers to provide leadership and new energy to Refresh OKC. With the newly appointed officers, Refresh OKC will continue to encourage good design, promote web standards and educate people to become better designers.
Why is Refresh OKC seeking nominations for officer positions?
Although there were many of you who have contributed to the success and growth of Refresh OKC, those familiar with Refresh knows that Jeff Davis has been the lifeblood that has kept Refresh OKC going forward. Jeff has done a wonderful job getting us to this point, but Refresh OKC has grown beyond the point of being sustainable by just one man.
Refresh OKC strives to serve the interests of web designers and developers in the community and is continuing to find new ways to uplift web design in Oklahoma City and nurture the local web design talent we have here. In order to do this, we feel that it is necessary to expand Refresh OKC to meet the demands and challenges of this community.
